The most highlight on Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is known as GWK is a statue of Garuda Wisnu which symbolizes the manifestation of Lord Vishnu as a gods keeper by the Hindu Bali residents by driving a eagle that serves him. The plan of Garuda Wisnu statue will be made approximately 120 meters high with a wingspan of 60 meters. If in United States is identical with the statue of Liberty probably in Bali will be identical with the statue of Garuda Wisnu which has similarities huge and high. GWK is called a cultural park because inside it there are many cultural performances that are prepared for the purposes of tourism. Therefore GWK area is divided into several parts including Plaza Garuda, Plaza Wisnu, Lotus Pond, Street Theater, Indra Loka Garden and Amphitheater.

Plaza Garuda is the location of the body parts and the head of the unfinished Garuda statue that is located close to the Plaza Wisnu. While the Wisnu Plaza is the location of the body and head of Lord Vishnu statue which is the highest location of this area and  busy visited. Around the Vishnu Plaza there is a holy spring that is believed to cure the disease.



Lotus Pond is an area under Plaza Garuda and there are an access stairs to go down to Lotus Pond. This section is the most important area of GWK which has a very wide yard and is surrounded by many high limestone pillars. Lotus Pond area is often used as a venue for some big music events like Dreamfields that can accommodate approximately 8000 people.


Street Theater is an area where there are many places to eat and restaurant as well as an exit way to home from GWK. In addition to a place to eat you will also find many souvenir shops and a photo studio that can be hired to take pictures. Many tourists are relaxing in this area after walking around in GWK area before go back home.


Indra Loka Garden is an area of GWK located on the hill and has breathtaking scenery and a beautiful sunset. This place is usually used for places to hold a wedding or gathering.


Amphitheater is an area that you should also visit where there are staging some Balinese culture such as Barong Dance, Kecak Dance, etc .. There is no charge to watch the stage in the Amphitheater area, it's just that you need to consider the staging schedule that starts from 11 am until the evening.


The location of GWK Cultural Park is located on Jalan Raya Uluwatu, Ungasan Jimbaran, Badung Regency. It is easy to find this location because it is located in the tourist area of Uluwatu and around Udayana University campus area. If you are in the Kuta Beach tourist area or from the international airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali, GWK location is very close only 10 - 15 kilometers with travel time about 10 - 20 minutes. You can also go to this place by riding motorcycle or car. For the entrance fee of this place, for domestic tourists about 60,000 rupiah and foreign tourists around 100,000 rupiah.
