is about 19 hectares consisting of forest area, mangrove and sea. The location
of this park is very close to the westernmost boundary of Bali Island which is
Gilimanuk Harbor, whereas if you depart from Denpasar or the international
airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali takes almost 5 hours to get to this place with
a distance of about 200 km.
The West Bali National
Park is famous for in addition to animals such as deer, protected monkeys there
is an almost extinct species of Bali native bird that is the Jalak Bali. It is
also makes the basis of West Bali National Park as a natural conservation
ecosystem to protect Jalak Bali species. You can also watch a bird show at this
place. For accommodation around the West Bali National Park there are many
villas or resorts as a place to stay, there are even 2 resorts inside the area
of this conservation park that has an amazing view and of one of them is
Menjangan Resort.
In addition to
visiting the West Bali National Park, I suggest you also visit Menjangan Island
which is still in the area of this park which is a famous diving or snorkeling
in the area of West Bali. To get there you must cross the sea by boat. You can
rent a boat directly from the manager of West Bali National Park or you can
visit the crossing service provider that located 2 kilometers north of West
Bali National Park.
If you are planning to
visit West Bali National Park it is advisable to hire a tour guide first
because the location of this place is quite far from the airport. In addition
to Menjangan Island, if you visit this place should also enjoy the famous food
in the area that is Betutu Men Tempeh Chicken.
